Expand-a-Blast Mod
OK here is a mod that has been talked about for a long time on Nerf Online. I got out my old dusty EAB to try it out. It really does work. People have said that most of the power comes from rubber bands, so when you're done, put a healthy dose of them on the plunger.

Here is the gun opened and with the crappy extending barrel and plunger taken out. Save these parts! I also took out the mechanism that made it expand.

On the left is an 11" piece of 1/2" shed 40 PVC pipe. Cut it with a hacksaw and sand the end. You can also see the main barrel and the crappy extending barrel.

OK here's what you do: take the crappy extending barrel and cut it right after the black rubber airseal type thing.

Here is a better pic. Cut it with the hacksaw then sand it down.

Then, tape it to the PVC. USE DUCT TAPE! I used masking tape the first time and it broke. Don't use any other type of tape, it won't stick to the plastic.

Then insert the assembly, airseal first, into the main barrel until it hits the end. You may also want to punch out an air restrictor that's in the main barrel. It's pretty weak, just use a screwdriver.

Put the assembly back in the gun. You will want to wrap duct tape around where the PVC comes out of the main barrel, because the PVC has a tendency to be shot forward when firing. This pic was taken on the version that didn't work. I added duct tape on the second version, but I'm not sure that was the reason it worked better. Just put more duct tape on to be sure :).

Close the case, and you're done. I recommend taking the hacksaw to the sight on the top; it makes the gun look much better. I put the black handrest back on (the one that used to make it expand) because I like to have a fold down handle when I'm sniping. It works REALLY well with micros; just push them down the barrel and fire. I need to put some rubber bands on to get the range I'd like with megas and 5/8" stefans; it's only about 30-40 feet right now.

Another pic.

That's it for this time. Come back soon :).
